Most popular alcoholic beverages among Chinese millionaires 2024

According to a survey conducted among Chinese millionaires in 2024, around 18.4 percent of respondents said that red wine was their favorite alcoholic beverage, while approximately 15.6 percent preferred whiskey. Only 0.3 percent of respondents said they do not drink any alcoholic beverages.

The survey was conducted among 750 respondents with personal assets of over ten million yuan. 47 percent of respondents were from tier-1 cities, 53 percent were from new tier-1 and tier-2 cities. The respondents' average age was 36 years old, and the average household assets of respondents were 45 million yuan.  The average number of real estate owned by respondents was three, and the average living space was 270 square meters.
