In 2023, the total volume of IPO issuance in Greater China amounted to around 57 billion U.S. dollars, which was almost as much as in 2017. The establishment of the Star-A market in Shanghai and other measures to increase the attractiveness of domestic stock exchanges increased the willingness of Chinese companies to list at home rather than overseas.
