Parental control over children's media consumption U.S. 2019-2020
A 2020 study revealed that 48 percent of parents in the United States had placed limits on their children playing computer and video games, down slightly from the previous year. The share of parents who were restricting their children's time browsing the internet or going to the movies also decreased, but gaming remained a major flashpoint and something which parents were keen to keep under control. Mobile device screen time was also an issue, along with watching TV on-demand. Between 2019 and 2020, the share of parents trying to limit their kids' time watching TV online increased by 16 percent.
