Global leading brewing groups based on production volume 2023
In 2023, the Belgian company AB InBev was the world's leading brewing group based on a production volume of about 506 million hectoliters. The company produced more than double the amount accounted for by the Dutch company, Heineken, which ranked second that year.
Sales of leading beer companies
AB InBev, also known as Anheuser-Busch InBev, generated over 57 billion U.S. dollars in sales in 2023, making it by far the leading beer company worldwide. Heineken Holding and Asahi Group Holdings ranked second and third, respectively. Not only was AB InBev the global leader for beer, but the corporation was also the world’s leading beverage company in general in 2022.
Advertising spending on beer in the U.S.
AB InBev, Constellation Brands, and Molson Coors Brewing Co. were some of the beer manufacturers that invested the most in advertising in 2022. Constellation Brands, which owns brands, such as Corona and Modelo Especial, spent an estimated 371 million U.S. dollars on ads that year. AB InBev was the second leading copmany with ad expenditures of 335 million U.S. dollars.
