Komatsu - global revenue by region 2023

In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024, the heavy equipment manufacturer, Komatsu Limited, accumulated most of its revenue from sales in the Americas region which amounted to approximately 1.65 trillion Japanese yen. Their second largest market was the Asia and Oceania region, which generated a revenue of about 808.7 billion Japanese yen. 

Performance of Komatsu Limited by segment

The construction, mining, and utility equipment segment was the highest performing segment, reporting sales amounting to almost 3.6 trillion Japanese euros. This was followed industrial machinery and others segment, which recorded sales worth about 191 billion Japanese yen. The retail finance segment was comparatively the lowest performing segment in this period, recording net sales valued at some 86 billion Japanese yen.

A global player in construction equipment

In 2020, Komatsu was ranked as the world’s second-largest manufacturers of construction machinery, making sales amounting to about 24.8 billion U.S. dollars. In addition, Komatsu held a market share of 10.4 percent in the same period, second only to the U.S.-based manufacturer Caterpillar.
