Employees and branches

The Spanish bank employs 206 thousand staff and has a customer base that grew by seven millions between 2021 and 2022. As of the end of 2022, there were almost three thousand Banco Santander branches in Spain. Santander focuses its operations
Compared to other leading European banks, the Banco Santander Group operates in far less countries globally.
