This graph illustrates a distribution of the e-reader ownership in the United States in 2012, by device type. During the survey period, Kindles were the most popular type of e-reading device, and were owned by 62 percent of those who owned e-readers. Another 22 percent owned a Nook, making it the second most popular type.
Interviews were conducted in English and Spanish, by landline and cell phone. N for number of e-book reading device owner = 676. N = 313 e-reader owners age 18 and older.
