U.S. students who participated in binge drinking 2021, by sex
A survey conducted in 2021 found that around 10.5 percent of American high school students had participated in binge drinking in the 30 days prior to taking the survey. Binge drinking prevalence was highest among female students at 12.2 percent. The source defines binge drinking as four or more drinks of alcohol in a row if they are female or five or more drinks of alcohol in a row if they are male, within a couple of hours.
