Miele: global revenue 2006-2024
The German household appliances' manufacturer Miele generated 5.04 billion euros in revenue in its 2024 financial year. This was a slight decrease from 2022 where the company's revenue reached an all-time high with 5.43 billion euros. From 2020 onwards, Miele switched its reporting to match the calendar year. In line with the switch for the reporting period, Miele reported revenues for the second half of 2019 (July to December) in a one-off stub year separately. During this period, the company’s revenue amounted to 2.24 billion euros.
Miele: Family-owned global player from Germany
Miele was founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann in Herzebrock, Germany. Today the company is headquartered in Gütersloh, Germany, and is still owned by the Miele (51%) and Zinkann (49%) families by around 80 family shareholders in total. Miele generates roughly 30 percent of its revenue in its home market Germany, where the company operates the majority of its 15 production facilities, and more than 50 percent of Miele’s employees are located. Next to the BSH Group, Electrolux, Groupe SEB, and Arcelik, Miele is one of the leading household appliances manufacturers in Europe.
