U.S. cross-border imports of management consulting and public relations services amounted to 31.7 percent of the total U.S. cross-border services imports in 2009. Exports of these services came to 28.9 percent. As a result, they led U.S. cross-border exports as well as imports of professional services in that year.
The total value of U.S. cross-border professional services exports was 97.6 billion U.S. dollars, the total value of professional services imports was 70.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2009.
