Electricity sales to industrial consumers in the United States amounted to approximately 1,025 terawatt-hours in 2023. In comparison to 2020, this represented an increase of approximately 2.3 percent. The industrial sector accounted for roughly one quarter of electricity retail sales in the U.S. in 2022.
