It is estimated that in 2050, wind energy capacity in Canada will reach 40.5 gigawatts. Forecasts are a baseline projection which is considered to be the “most likely” outcome for Canada’s energy future, given the underlying assumptions of the energy market as constantly evolving. In 2020, wind energy is expected to have reached 13.9 gigawatts in capacity.
