The estimated number of snow sports visitors in the United States has fluctuated since the 2000/01 winter season. During the 2020/2021 season, the U.S. had about 59 million snow sports visits in total, about 15 percent higher than in the previous winter season. Snow sports were especially popular in the 2007/08 season, when the U.S. recorded a peak of 60.5 million visitors overall.
