The consumer expenditure on educational books in the United States amounted to 13.49 billion U.S. dollars in 2022, up from just under 12.5 billion a year earlier. For many years, Americans tended to spend around nine billion U.S. dollars on educational books each year, but since hitting the ten billion mark in 2016, the figure has remained above that level.
