The values within this statistic are based on the BrandZ™ valuation method. It calculates and combines financial value (tangible and intangible assets) and brand contribution (current demand, price premium, etc.) to determine the value of a brand. Other company brand rankings may use a different methodology. For instance, the Royalty Relief approach, which was used for another brand ranking, has a different set of measures to achieve their definition of brand value, resulting in different values.
