This statistic presents the distribution of articles shared via leading social networks worldwide during the first six months of 2016, by site. During the survey period it was found that 6.1 percent of articles shared via the leading social platforms were distributed via Twitter. Facebook was ranked first with 90.2 percent of global shares.
