The penetration rate of streaming boxes/sticks and smart TVs in Wi-Fi connected households in the United States has increased over the past three years. In 2020, 57 percent Wi-Fi connected households in the U.S. had a streaming box/stick, compared to 47 percent in 2018. A similar development can be observed in the smart TV segment where the penetration rate has grown from 37 percent to 51 percent over the same time period.
