Number of open banking users in the UK 2023-2025, by type of service

In February 2025, there were close to 14 million open banking users in the United Kingdom, a significant increase compared to the same month in the previous year. Throughout most of the observed period, there were slightly more Payment Initiation Service (PIS) than Account Information Service (AIS) users, and the gap between these two user types widened notably in 2024.
