Microsoft was the highest grossing holiday season games publisher in 2024, generating 465 million U.S. dollars in consumer spending during the month of December across PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam, which accounted for more than 16 percent of the total spend. Electronic Arts and Take-Two also ranked high, generating a consumer spending of 366 million U.S. dollars and 197 million U.S. dollars across platforms, respectively. Tencent was the fifth-highest grossing holiday season publisher, ranking among the top ten for the first time.
