In 2024, pledges for new and additional foreign direct investment (FDI) in South Korea reached about 19 billion and 14 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. The actual commitments made amounted to about 4.1 billion for new investments and 9.6 billion dollars for additional investments. Compared to the previous year, pledges for new and long-term loans have increased, but actual investments have decreased across all types of investments.
