In 2024, during Tet, also known as the Vietnamese New Year, consumers in Vietnam spent 13 trillion Vietnamese dongs on fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in four major urban cities. That year, FMCG spending during Tet accounted for 19 percent of the total FMCG expenditure of the whole year in these regions in Vietnam.
