According to a survey conducted in South Korea in December 2024, nearly 70 percent of respondents stated that the Constitutional Court should uphold the impeachment motion and remove President Yoon Suk Yeol from office. Approximately 26 percent of respondents felt that the impeachment should be dismissed and President Yoon should be reinstated. This survey followed Yoon's martial law decree on December 3, 2024, which lasted only a few hours. The National Assembly voted on December 14, 2024, to pass the impeachment bill against President Yoon, resulting in his immediate suspension from office.
