According to a survey conducted in Japan from January to February 2024, a combined share of 81 percent of the respondents thought to varying degrees that the regulation of disinformation with regard to artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI should be strict. An almost equally high share of respondents thought that the regulation regarding the use of personal information should be strict.
