The Social Democratic Party (PSD) was the leading party in the Parliamentary elections in Romania, which took place on the first of December 2024, for both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate. However, abroad, the majority of the diaspora voted for either the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) or the Save Romania Union (USR). Although the Health Education Nature Sustainability (SENS) party didn't get past the five percent threshold, it got more votes in the Senate than the ruling PSD.
