Passenger vehicles made up most new vehicle sales in Africa. As of 2023, almost 750,000 passenger cars were sold on the continent, compared to around 302,000 commercial ones. Compared to the previous year, the overall number of newly sold vehicles dropped, with a drop in passenger vehicles and an increase in commercial vehicles sold.
