In 2023, the highest value of sales generated among the fastest growing food and beverage FMCG products in Israel, were for functional beverages and coffee. These grew by 19 percent year-on-year in unit sales. Revenue from this category amounted to 380 million Israeli shekels, some 105 million U.S. dollars. Ready-made meals followed with 185 million shekels worth of sales, equivalent to around 51 million U.S. dollars.

The data is based on a sample of 3,000 stores, representing over 87 percent of the total FMCG market at various store types in Israel. The source recorded data at the point of sale to estimate the total market values for the country, excluding kiosks and the Arab community.
