The Paracatu Mine, located in the state of Minas Gerais and owned by Kinross Gold, was the largest gold mine in Brazil based on production in 2023, at about 588,000 ounces. Salobo Mine, situated in the Brazilian state of Para, trailed in second that year with approximately 359,500 ounces of gold produced.
