Perceptions of generative AI in Japan 2024

According to a survey conducted in Japan from January to February 2024, a combined share of 78.6 percent of the respondents thought to varying degrees that generative artificial intelligence (AI) is used as a tool for crime and fraud. At the same time, 73.7 percent of the respondents thought or rather thought that generative AI creates new services and markets.
