Level of cyber resilience of companies in Germany 2024

In 2024, 33 percent of companies in Germany had a basic level of cyber readiness. This includes documentation, regular process reviews and a medium level of employee training. In a global comparison, 34 percent of companies were at this level. However, only six percent of companies worldwide were at an exemplary level in this regard.

  • Basic: Established and documented processes with regular reviews and updates. Average level of employee training and awareness. Incident response plans are regularly tested.
  • Advanced: Integrated processes across the organization, with metrics for tracking. Continuous improvement procedures are in place. High level of employee training and proactive incident response.
  • Exemplary: Best-in-class practices fully integrated into business strategy. Continuous innovation and improvement of cyber resilience. Strong collaboration with external partners and stakeholders.
