In 2023, mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials exported from Africa to the European Union (EU) amounted to around 98.1 billion euros. This dropped by roughly 20 percent compared to the previous year when a peak was observed. Since 2014, mineral fuel and lubricant exports from Africa to the EU have generally fluctuated.
