In May 2024, around 41 percent of respondents in Germany stated that over the next 12 months they were not likely to order groceries online. 22 percent said it would be likely or very likely that they would make use of online grocery delivery services.

This question was asked as follows: “How likely is it that you will order food online in the next 12 months? Please think of all orders, both from special delivery services (e.g. Rewe delivery service, Gorillas) and other online stores (e.g. Amazon). This does not include orders for ready-prepared meals (e.g. via Lieferando, pizza service).”
