In 2024, nearly 65 percent of the shares of New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV), one of India's leading news networks, were owned by its promoter group, while the remainder were publicly owned shares. Two Adani Enterprises entities, RRPR Holding Private Limited and Vishvapradhan Commercial, comprised the promoter group, thereby giving indirect control of the news outlet to the conglomerate. The media arm of the Adani Group, AMG Media Networks Limited, has acquired various independent news companies such as The Quint and the Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) recently.
