In 2023, machinery and transport equipment imported from the European Union (EU) to Africa amounted to around 52 billion euros. This was the highest value in the period observed, marking an increase of roughly12.4 percent from the previous year. Moreover, the value of industrial equipment exports was the lowest in 2020 at approximately 38 billion euros.
