In 2023, the value of food, drinks, and tobacco imported from the European Union (EU) to Africa reached around 17.2 billion euros. This marked a decrease of 12.4 percent from the previous year, when a peak of nearly 20 billion euros was registered. Moreover, between 2017 and 2022, there was a steady rise in the value of exports
