Road traffic accidents by location in Germany 2023

In 2023, there were a total of 675,683 road accidents outside of towns and villages in Germany, which marked an increase from the previous year. The number of accidents within towns and villages also went up and amounted to around 1.8 million in 2023. However, the total number of accidents is still below pre-Covid levels.
