The number of exchange-traded derivatives (ETDs) contracts increased dramatically between 2019 and 2023. In particular, in 2023, ETDs volume increased by more than 60 percent compared to the previous year, reaching nearly 140 billion. Overall, the number of ETDs increased more than sixfold between 2010 and 2023.
