In 2023, a survey conducted in South Africa revealed that those who currently own a new vehicle would likely buy new again, with a share of 86 percent. Although, 46 percent of those with used cars would choose to buy a used vehicle again. Still, a portion of 45 percent of those with used cars stated they would prefer to buy their next vehicle new.
