As of July 2022, 55 percent of respondents in Israel reported using mobile payment apps to pay friends or acquaintances. This was followed by 30 percent of using apps for money transfers to family members or to children. Interestingly, even small and traditional businesses, such as greengrocers and bakeries, have adopted payment apps for transactions to some extent.
