Consumer expectations regarding BEV driving range in South Africa 2023

In 2023, a survey revealed that 30 percent of South African consumers would expect an all-battery electric vehicle (BEV) to travel 600 kilometers or more for them to consider buying one. The second-highest share of 19 percent stated that they would require the vehicle to travel between 400 and 499 kilometers before requiring to be recharged.
