The questionnaire was conducted online, involving 600 respondents. The sample is representative of self-employed individuals and owners of small businesses (with up to 20 employees) in Israel, who are connected to the internet. Respondents were asked if they were familiar with various payment methods, followed by an assessment of their usage of the methods they knew.

'Payment app' refers to a mobile application that facilitates financial transactions as an intermediary, with some apps offering wallet-like features to store money temporarily.

'Paper checks' refer to physical documents issued by a bank account holder, instructing the bank to pay a specific amount of money to a designated recipient.

'ZAHAV transfer' refers to the RTGS electronic payment system in Israel, specifically designed for transferring funds between banks.

'Instant debit card' refers to a payment card that allows for instant access to funds for purchases or withdrawals, deducting the amount directly from the account balance at the time of the transaction.

'Digital wallet' refers to an online platform that replicates the functionality of a physical wallet, enabling users to store funds for future use and, in some cases, keep digital versions of items like tickets, licenses, or passes.

'Bank check' refers to a payment instrument issued directly by a bank on behalf of the payer. The bank guarantees the payment, ensuring that funds are available, making it a secure option for large or important transactions.

'Prepaid card' refers to a payment card loaded with a specific amount of money in advance, not linked directly to a bank account. Users can use it to make purchases or withdraw cash until the balance is depleted.
