In 2024, traditional banks held an estimated 201 trillion U.S. dollars in deposits, more than 13 times the 15 trillion U.S. dollars held by digital banks. According to Statista Market Insights, both the traditional and digital banking sectors will see a gradual increase in customer deposits in the following years.
