In 2023, Australia exported more than 107 billion cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG), making it the world's third-largest exporter of LNG that year in terms of export volume. Malaysia was also a major exporter of LNG in the region that year, exporting more than 36 billion cubic meters of LNG.
