In 2023, the total value of card-not-present transactions (CNP) in Israel reached over 264 billion Israeli shekels, some 72 billion U.S. dollars. This marked an increase of 4.5 percent from the previous year. The total value of card-present payments (CP) stood at about 196 billion Israeli shekels in 2023, about 54 billion U.S. dollars. There was a consistent increase in the value of CNP payments, which surpassed CP payments in 2019.
