In the United States, a survey from 2024 conducted among nurse practitioners (NPs) revealed that almost 40 percent of nurses were not currently and had never sought professional help to deal with burnout and or depression. Only 24 percent of nurses stated that they are currently seeking professional help, despite 95 percent of NPs reporting feelings of burnout and or depression.
