In the first quarter of 2024, the emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates intended to add another 104 thousand square meters of gross leasable area (GLA) of primary and secondary malls to its current supply of roughly 4.8 million square meters. Abu Dhabi, on the other hand, has around 17 thousand square meters in the pipeline for the remaining three quarters of the year. The year-on-year average retail rental price in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi grew over the previous year at three and 10 percent, respectively.
