In the first quarter of 2024, Argentina's banking sector recorded the highest Tier 1 capital ratio in Latin America at 39 percent. Antigua ranked second with a Tier 1 capital ratio of 18.9 percent, followed by Mexico in third place at 17.8 percent. At the opposite end of the spectrum, St. Kitts and Nevis had the lowest Tier 1 capital ratio, standing at 7.3 percent.
