During a July 2024 survey among public relations (PR) professionals in the United States and Canada, approximately 83 percent reported using social media to promote their press releases. Around 69 percent said they used news distribution services such as PR Newswire and Business Wire, while 61 percent stated they promoted press releases through the online newsrooms on their brands' websites. According to the same study, little more than one-quarter of PRs across the U.S. and Canada used GenAI.
