In fiscal year 2023, Seven & i Holdings generated operating revenue of over 11 trillion Japanese yen, with overseas convenience store operations contributing the majority. Domestic konbini operations generated around 922 billion yen in operating revenue. Besides others, Seven & i Holdings Co., Ltd. operates the Japanese convenience store chain 7-Eleven as well as hypermarkets through its subsidiary Ito-Yokado. Following a takeover offer aiming for its convenience store business in August 2024, the parent company announced a split of the company into two companies to fend off further buyout attempts.
