In Central and Eastern Europe, cattle farming is forecast to remain the leading cause of agricultural emissions when it comes to greenhouse gases originating from activities other than energy use. Poland is expected to record the highest emission volume from enteric fermentation in 2025, at over 13 tons of CO₂-equivalent.

From 2010 to 2019, the data was obtained from ClimateWatch.
Figures for years from 2020 to 2025 were estimated by Statista using exponential smoothing for the analysis, and results were cross-validated against the data and projections of FAO.
