In 2024, Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, located in Istanbul, Turkey, had the highest share of low-cost airlines in total aviation operations. That year, 62 percent of all flights were carried out by low-cost airlines, mainly Pegasus Airlines, Turkey's largest budget airline. Furthermore, the share of low-cost airlines at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was 55 percent in 2024. This was the second-largest low-cost presence compared to the other airports.
